Globally, among the 2,957 sustainability reports subject to an independent assurance, 1,668 (56%) were partially or fully verified under limited assurance, while 405 (14%) were partially or fully verified under reasonable assurance. Globally, 70% of the companies by market capitalization disclosed a GHG emission reduction target and nearly half of them set 2030 as the target year.
We propose quantum regenerative leadership (QRL) as a new framework that integrates the insights and practices of quantum leadership and regenerative leadership. QRL proposes that effective leadership in the 21st century requires both a quantum mindset and a regenerative mindset, as well as the skills and competencies to apply them in different contexts and situations.
Human behaviour, consumption and business activities have been identified as the main cause of the climate crisis the earth is facing at present, having seriously detrimental effects on the earth’s bio capacity to sustain life. These effects, referred to as anthropogenic impacts, are causing degradation of the globally shared public resource known as natural capital.
A great number of empirical studies now challenge the position of conceptualising human behaviour only in the framework of a rational, utility-maximizing homo-economicus. Yet, this framework is used for the purpose of simplicity and tractability in situations where abstraction does not result in major loss of focus and information at hand.
